On the camp the scouts take the primitive-camp badge and the tent badge, so the camp is mostly about being able to set up a primitive camp and manage in nature. Thus, we have to get to our camp ourselves, so we take a bus to Rønde, from where we walk 4 km to the camp site, which is beautifully located by Kalø Vig. On the camp, you must have a backpack with a water bottle, packed lunch and clothes according to the weather.

Start:

We will meet on Saturday 25 May no later than 9.00 at the Aarhus Rutebilstationen by bus stop no. 123, which takes us to Rønde, from where we hike to the camp site.

End:

The camp ends with a joint picnic at Kaløvig Slotscafé (Molsvej 29, 8410 Rønde) on Sunday 26 May at 12.00. Everyone brings a dish for a shared buffet. Parents can arrange carpooling via the Marselisspeidernes Facebook group.

Assistance:
We need a little parental assistance to help us on our way:

• We need parents to help drive luggage and gear to the camp site on Saturday.

• We need parents who want to bake a batch of buns or a cake

Packing:

• Pack one backpack with a drinking bottle, packed lunch and possibly clothing according to the weather

• Pack one bag, which the scouts themselves must be able to handle on and off the bus, with what is necessary for an overnight stay in a tent (see the general packing list on the website), incl. sleeping bag and sleeping mat. So no loose bags. And remember that it helps the scouts a lot if they THEMSELVES pack their bag together with you, so they know what they have with them and where it is.

Please, remember sunscreen and mosquito spray, cutlery + tea towel, good shoes to hike in.
